The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) is located in Caldwell Hall, Room 339. The OTT was established in October, 1999, because the Catholic University of America recognized its need to assist university inventors in commercializing and managing the patent activities resulting from discovered inventions. Income derived from the University's inventions is distributed to the inventors, the individual colleges, and other offices of CUA.

 

Faculty, staff and students involved in research which may develop new technologies, products or processes, should become familiar with Patent Policy set forth in the the Catholic University of America Faculty Handbook. This policy may also be viewed at this website.
